H. kuda ; Smooth Seahorse


-They are usually black, pale yellow, or orangish yellows
-colors changes due to diet, stress, or mood
-they are found in sea grasses along coastal areas and shallow coastal waters
-and sometimes rocky areas
-they grow 6-9 inches
-the male carries the eggs, bends forward then backwards thrusting out one or two young ones
